In conjuction with Penang’s Georgetown Festival, certain old walls within our dear capital has gained a new lease of life, thanks to the awesome efforts of Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic.The artworks are funny, fascinating, and very much open to everyone’s interpretations.

<======== Chew Jetty
I knew that the moment I stepped on the wooden platform, I was already over the water.The Chew Jetty is the largest among the other seven waterfront settlements housing different clans in Georgetown built in the mid-19th century.
 The name of the jetty – “Chew”, is the surname of  the clan living in the water
village with wooden housesperched above the sea by stilts, a homeland for generations of the Chews whose forefathers came from Fujian Province in China and were mostly fishermen.

KEK LOK SI GUAN YIN TEMPLE
After from wall painting in georgetown for half day,our next station gonna be at KEK LOK SI TEMPLE......
<=========Wishing for my familys and frens healthy and wealthy....

The temple interior was so beautiful ====================>

The construction of the temple began in 1890 and was inspired by the chief monk of the Goddess of Mercy Temple at Pitt Street.With the support of the consular representative of China in Penang, the project received the sanction of the Emperor Guangxu, who bestowed a tablet and gift of 70,000 volumes of the Imperial
Edition of the Buddhist Sutras.

The primary benefactor of the Kek Lok Si Temple in 1906 was none other than Kapitan Chung Keng Quee.
In 1930, the seven storey main pagoda of the temple or the Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas, was completed. This pagoda combines a Chinese octagonal base with a middle tier of Thai design, and a Burmese crown; reflecting the temple's embrace of both Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism.
In 2002, a 30.2m bronze statue of the Kuan Yin was completed and opened to public. It replaced the previous white plaster Kuan Yin statue which

was damaged due to a fire a few years earlier
The bronze statue is located on the hillside above the pagoda while the head of the previous statue which survived the fire is preserved and placed on the right hand corner of the new statue. Most visitors approach the temple as they ascend a stairway, roofs of which provide shelter to a multitude of shops selling souvenirs and other - mostly secular - commodities. They pass by a so-called Liberation Pond, following the buddhist tradition of merit-making, turtles may
 be released into freedom, albeit a limited one.often brightly painted and a plethora of lanterns add to the visual impression. On the elevated platform,
The temple itself consists of several large halls for assembly and prayer, here, statues of Buddha, various Bodhisattvas as well as Chinese gods are being venerated. Intricate woodwork, often brightly painted and a plethora of lanterns add to the visual impression.you can find a pond filled with Koi and the towering statue of Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy, which can also be regarded as Avalokitheshvara, Bodhisattva of Universal Compassion.The temple is a focal point of festivals of the Chinese community in Penang. The Chinese New Year celebrations are particularly impressive. For 30 days following Chinese New Year, the temple remains open until late at night whilst thousands of lights turn the scenery into a sea of light.will be turned into a fairyland of lights as final preparation to welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year gathers place.The temple was glowing with festive cheer at the official lighting ceremony...

AIR HITAM LAKSA@CHAR KUEY TEOW
 After From KEK LOK SI ,Everyone was hungry...this is just down on the the KEK LOK SI hill....FAMOUS
PENANG ASAM LAKSA@CHAR KUEY TEOW

“The speciality of Penang laksa is its distinctive thick and sour minced fish-brewed soup cooked with chilli in assam (tamarind) water and flavoured with serai (lemon grass).

“The minced fish that is added in to make the soup has to be just right so the soup does not end up having the fishy smell.

The char koay teow legacy============>

TALK about Penang’s most popular hawker fare and char koay teow invariably crops up. Though stalls selling delicious char koay teow can be found in every nook and cranny on the island.Ingredient of Penang type Char Koay Teow will be include bean sprouts,fresh cockles,Garlic chives,eggs,and chinese sausage is an optional.For Penang Lang people Char Kway Teow is all time favourite...Honestly, we were just fascinated by how humongous the prawns were.Strongly recommended to order your Char Koay Teow to be fried with Duck Egg.The Taste of Char Koay Teow with Duck Egg is more "Lemak" than the one fried with Chicken Egg.

Kampar Fish Jelly Restaurant at Jalan Jerjak, Penang

What is “Kampar Fish Jelly”? Well everyone will be guessing rite. Actually it is Yong Tau Foo, which is mostly found in Kampar, Ipoh ....

Yong Tau Foo is basically fish paste stuffed into varieties of vegetables and tofu. The fish paste is very fresh and springy. it comes with choices of white rice, yam rice and even Hakka noodle with minced pork.

Fried ingredients are served separately and the rest of the ingredients comes in a bowl of clear and tasty soup.

========================================================================
Penang Hill
After finish lunch at kampar fish jelly restaurant,we straight away drive to Bukit Bendera....
I'm was first time here and try to find out the place,

On Penang Hill you can escape the heat of tropical Georgetown. The hill, also known as Bukit Bendera,  is  830 meter high (2,750 foot) and it's much cooler than in the city below. It's about 3 degrees cooler than the places near the coast. It is a popular by the locals as well as tourists.
The station to get to the top is located in Air Itam. From Georgetown, take a Transit Link bus No 1, or No 101, or Lim Seng bus No 91, or minibus No 21 from Lebuh Chulia to the Air Itam Terminal. Penang Hill has a population of about 1000 locals.The funicular at the railway station takes you to the top and it will cost you RM4.50  for one way.The train leaves the station at Air Itam at 6.30am and at half hourly intervals.

The funicular railway will not take you straight to the top, you have to change trains halfway.

 in the meantime you'll pass several small station, where the local people get off. There are are also some small hotels and guesthouses on this stretch. The railway was built in 1923 and it takes about half an hour to the top.
 At the top of the hill, you'll find a tea kiosk, restaurants, souvenir stalls, a mosque, Hindu temple, and the old Bellevue hotel. The summit offers a magnificent panoramic view of Georgetown,  the mainland and Penang Bridge.IN response to the letter ‘Why not Flag Hill and Perakis?’ (Dec 21), I’d like to point out that the name “Penang Hill” is a grammatical
anomaly that refers to several peaks on Penang Island, the first to be settled being Flagstaff Hill (whence Bukit Bendera).
So, if there were to be an official name-change into Malay, it ought to take the equally anomalous form Bukit Pulau Pinang. If we really had to do it, we should perhaps think up another name.

 Monkey Cup@Penang Hill

Another Side on Penang Hill,The Monkey Cup Garden is one of the newest attractions on Penang Hill. A garden specializing in pitcher plants or Nepenthes, it was started on 20 November, 2011 by an ardent pitcher plant enthusiast.The pitcher plant is often called monkey cup
due to the notion that monkeys are fond of drinking from the pitchers. They are carnivorous plants with mechanisms to trap prey, mostly insects.Those who are interested in pitcher plants should pay a visit to the Monkey Cup Garden as soon as possible, while the place is still so well maintained......You may take a buggy ride costing around RM 30 per car or simply take a walk to enjoy the
cool atmosphere.

The entrance fees is RM 10 per person but in my opinion it is well worth the money. The garden has collection of various Nephentes(Monkey Cup) species cultivated in a beautifully designed mossy garden at the right environment. There are original as well as hybrid species from Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Phillipines, Brazil, America and Madagascar among others. There was a Bangladeshi guide who gave a fairly good overview in Malay on what is pitcher plants and the origin of species.
I Love This Part,their have Adult scorpion...and another insects in there,some rainforest plant can be buy and bring back to home...

After visit the whole Penang Hill ,we going back down to the ground.....is was a fun place and have some history....worth it for pay a visit dude....
