What To Eat In Siem Reap ?

Street Food along Pokambor Ave , Street food in Siem Reap may not be the most mouthwatering in Asia but it's certainly worth trying as, aside from the Old Market stalls set up for tourists, curbside dining is still very much for locals .

Master Food Restaurant

Magic Stick Ice Cream

During my stay in Siem Reap I have found something that i have seen in sunway but haven't tried before. It’s not a tube and it’s not ice cream. It is tube ice cream. Also known as cornflour ice cream or Magic stick ice cream in Siem Reap, Cambodia.  Made out of cornflour these tubes are handmade .

The Blue Pumpkin , Siem Reap

The Blue Pumpkin , One of Cambodia's best loved cafes and One of Cambodia's most popular cafe restaurants, Blue Pumpkin's offers more than delectable pastries and tasty snacks . We walk around for desert and found out this Blue pumpkin that viral in media and a must try desert when you are in cambodia .

The interior was simple and nice , design as khmer style with wooden chair and table . sofa at the side on every corner that feel comfortable while dining .

We asked tuk tuk driver bring back to angor wat temple to get this bamboo stick rice , only there was selling this bamboo stick rice along the road .

Kralan is a rich food, add some beans, and it's almost a full meal. According to tradition, Khmer soldiers from Angkorian times, and even earlier, would take kralan on patrols. No need to cook, and it keeps for a few days .

Blue Wave Restaurant

Blue Wave Restaurant , Local and affordable bar/restaurant , serving tasty Khmer food and some international dishes on a covered terrace along a lively street . Located just 100m from a night Market and 200m from Pub Street and few next door from our hotel , nice place for a refreshing drink and game of pool after dinner .

Blue wave combines a restaurant with a night bar . In the early evening you can enjoy a tasty meal on the terrace while watching the bustling street life on Sivutha Boulevard . Later at night , you can have a refreshing beer or cocktail at the bar inside .

Khmer Kitchen bears an uncanny resemblance to a Spanish venta or a Mexican cantina . But the similarity ends with the decor and what you will actually find at this busy eatery in Siem Reap’s tourist centre are generous portions of honest Cambodian food at good value prices, and all within staggering distance of the bright lights of Pub Street .

Snow Yogurt serves tasty soft-serve yogurt made from low fat fresh milk . Put together our own ice cream treat!
The original yogurt flavor is the most popular, but try one of the other fruit-flavored options including strawberry, kiwi, honeydew, mango and blueberry, all of which cost $1.50 for 100 grams and can be enhanced with a variety of fresh fruits or candy toppings .

we dipped our toe into the local BBQ scene at a corner joint on the
Street side . Our favourite thing is to go out in the afternoon for what we call “street feeding” . Basically eating out, but eating street food .  our favourite thing is to go anytime for what we call “street feeding” . on the menu was Liver , chicken drumstick/wing/breast and fish , duck egg as well and serve on a large leaf .

This local restaurant is very interesting in that although it has an English menu , its customers are almost 100 per cent Cambodians . many locals like to have their breakfast here and not specifically open to tourists only , so the price is reasonable for everyone And there are price list , easy for tourist to look on the price, which is what I would recommend this restaurant to everyone .

Sea coconut

Sea coconut didn’t come from the sea…

Most will not fall in love with it on first sight as it looks suspiciously like brown worms. But, because of its sweet flavour and half-crunchy-half-jelly like texture, it is one of the most popular local dessert toppings . We are talking about sea coconut . For those casual fans of the fruit and those who don’t know what it is , sea coconuts do not come from the sea . It has a black husk that carries three sockets of oval jelly seeds inside. Peeling off the thin beige skin reveals the sweet , pale-white , semi-translucent jelly an unusual texture , The name “sea coconut” came about perhaps because their seeds were once believed to be dispersed by the sea .

Mexican cuisine is primarily a fusion of indigenous Mesoamerican cooking with European, especially Spanish , The basic staples are native foods such as corn, beans and chili peppers. Europeans introduced a large number of other foods, the most important of which were meats from domesticated animals (beef, pork, chicken, goat and sheep), dairy products (especially cheese) and various herbs and spices .

BBQ Banana , raw but step into a ripe stage bananas Bamboo skewer sticks Peel the bananas. Stick in the skewer, and BBQ in medium high heat until it turn into yellow brown color.

High tea ! . It is an immediate sense of relaxation take off by its beautiful design and comfortable setting and coffee were perfect. We spent hours here , chillAX .

BBQ Chicken is sort of Fast food style restaurant , you'll get restaurant type service which meant you are seated if you want to eat in and the waitress will take down the orders . For take out you go straight to the counter. The menu is very brightly colored, and though it looks huge, much space is dedicated to pretty photos of each dish .

Despite the well-known dialect dish names which pay homage to the Cantonese region where the recipe was perfected . most only excel in one particular roasted meat and the other two are just average. Few stalls do everything well and hence this article aims to list the stalls that are the most all-rounded in each meat .

The Triangle BBQ is a great dining experience. At the peak of the triangle, everyone can sit and enjoy the sumptuous BBQ meals. The atmosphere is exciting, we can watch the people go by and never more than an arm’s length from the action .

The Red Piano is one of Angelina Jolie's favorite restaurants. While filming Tomb Raider, this place has become her hangout spot together with her crew and Brad Pitt. This was their second home during their long shoots at the temples of Siem Reap, Cambodia .
