Port Weld , Kuala Sepetang

Kuala Sepetang is a coastal town located 30 minute drive from taiping . The town was formerly known as Port Weld , It is a thriving fishing village  which is a Chinese fishing community at the river mouth which specializes in fish breeding in cages. The Port Weld railway station was located at the centre of town. The whole railway line from here to Taiping, which was the first railway line in the Peninsular, is now dismantled, and now only the ticketing booth and the Port Weld railway signboard remain .

The village is very popular with its curry mee , There is a stall in Kuala Sepetang selling curry mee . A Chinese couple is selling the noodles by the stall infont of the curve as you go into the town but feel really sad that they Haven't open for the curry mee on that day we are there . they opens from 3p.m to about 10 p.m and closes on Mon and Tues . While the place isn't the most comfortable place to dine with hot weather but the quality of food is certainly good  enough .
