As an Malaysian that live in the city of Kuala Lumpur , Have you Really pay a visit on the heritage site like Tourist do ?
Me or most of the people from the city always visit others country UNESCO Site , Heritage area , Food hunting and Shopping but Didn't explore our own city where we live . In Kuala Lumpur , There was no UNESCO Site to visit but have Heritage area , great Malaysia cuisine foods and Huge shopping mall around . Malaysian afraid of hot weather and will get frustrated when comes to sweating but not all , just part of them . On the hot sunny day of the afternoon in the city , everyone will be walking around at any shopping mall nearby . Since i'm staying in Kuala Lumpur for so long , I decide to create a full day Itinerary on Kuala Lumpur One day trip Exploring with a gang of friend by using only public transportation . Early Sunday in the Morning before the sunrise , we started our Journey from Lembah Subang LRT Station direct to Pasar Seni LRT Station . Most of the public transport here are using Touch 'n' Go card or Cash , It was a convenience pay System card . Mostly Using by locals or foreigners in the city .
About Touch 'n' Go
The Touch 'n Go or TnG smart card is used by Malaysian toll expressway and highway operators as the sole electronic payment system (EPS) . The credit card-sized smart card is to ease the queue congestion at Ticket machine and It is a top up card . A standard card can be purchased at the price of RM20. It consists of RM10 deposit value and RM10 usage amount . The cards may be reloaded at any store that stat the Touch 'n Go logo . Touch 'n Go card is not only for toll fare but also parking services, public transport, theme park and cashless payment at retail outlets .
Alright , Back to the Journey . Reaching Pasar Seni KJ14 LRT Station from Lembah subang KJ25 LRT Station within 45 minutes , Straight away walk to Petaling street (ChinaTown) seeking for breakfast .
Penjaja Gallery Jalan Tun H.S. Lee (Madras Lane) - 李霖泰菜市场
Five minute walk from Pasar Seni KJ14 LRT Station Penjaja Gallery Jalan Tun H.S. Lee (Madras Lane) - 李霖泰菜市场 and the location is easily spotted on the left with archway as the entrance . Recomended as one of the best Curry Noodle , Yong tau fu and Chee Cheong Fun in town . Traditional ingredient on the noodle that not really can be found in klang valley .
Guan Di Temple - 关帝庙
This Guan Di Temple-关帝庙 located just beside Penjaja Gallery Jalan Tun H.S. Lee (Madras Lane)-李霖泰菜市场 were we had our breakfast and it was ours first stop place to visit in the list . The place where Chinese buddhist pray for Guandi (关帝) , The war General warrior god blessing for Peace and safe .
Sin Sze Si Ya Temple 仙四师爷庙, Kuala Lumpur
Another five minutes walk to the oldest Taoist temple in Kuala Lumpur , the temple also functions as a cultural centre for the city’s Chinese community and is usually filled with devotees during significant occasions such as Chinese New Year. Sin Sze Ya Temple is dedicated to patron deities Sin Sze Ya and Si Sze Ya, who played significant roles in Yap Ah Loy's ascension to Kapitan status during the 19th century .
The China Town High Street area , A well known district . The area has dozens of restaurants and food stalls , serving local favourites Foods and Also nearby is the Jamek Mosque, an old mosque of Moorish architecture and also the tourist attraction known ....
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) , Malaysia
Ten Minutes walk from Pasar Seni , The Old KL Railway Station is one of Kuala Lumpur's most famous landmarks . Until the Petronas Twin Towers was built, the railway station, together with the Sultan Abdul Samad building, was among the most photographed symbols of the city . Great place to dropby for visit or walk around .
Kuala Lumpur General Post Office (Pejabat Pos Besar Kuala Lumpur) is the biggest general post office in Malaysia . Located at Dayabumi Complex , operations began in 1985 and It is managed by Pos Malaysia . The history of Pos Malaysia Berhad can be traced back to the early 1800s with the establishment of postal services first in the Straits Settlements (Penang, Malacca, and Singapore) and gradually, it covered the entire Malaya by early 20th century .
Bus tour with KL Hop-On,Hop-Off and explore Kuala Lumpur Without driving or hire taxis . We begin The ride from number nine (09) stop at infront of pasar seni Texas chicken . We bought 24hrs tour ticket for RM19 adult and ticket can be purchase on the bus or there was man selling at the Bus stop .
The bus stoped at 23 major tourist attractions from Tourist Matic to to the last stop at KLCC . City route will take you around the city , This tour bus equipped with tour guide that will recommend and explain to us about history and information about attraction near the bus stop and even some places passed by the bus . The service operating daily from 9AM to 7PM , with around 20 to 30 minutes intervals . There are two tickets validity 24hr or 48hr and Children below 5 years old are free of charge .
Malaysia National Museum , Kuala Lumpur
KL Hop On Hop Off station number (12) Malaysia National Museum , It was a great and worth place to visit with only RM2 entrance Fee for local Malaysian , This museum is really something place to be in Malaysia . Out of what it is expected from a typical normal boring museum . What can I say is that the government really taking care of this Museum and putting great afford of the good stuff in here .
Tun Abdul Razak Memorial
KL Hop On Hop Off station number (15) Bird Park , At first we thought wanted to give a shot to KL Bird Park but The fees are kinda expensive for us . So we walk a short miles to Tun Abdul Razak Memorial , The former Prime minister old compound and It was open to public for Free .
Royal Malaysian Police Museum
Walk another short miles , we are at Royal malaysia Police Muzeum . This place is a must visit since it is free and the muzeum was huge , take place a lot of history knowledge . Thumbs Up .
KL Hop On Hop Off station number (17) Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) , Took a few photo of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building .
Ten minute from Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) to Petaling Street , Looking for late Lunch Since everyone are hungry for food . Had the Famous Wan Tan Mee .
The legendary wantan mee since 1942 , one of the best wantan mee in Kuala Lumpur . I came here Before for few time if I'm around Petaling street , With thin noodle covered delicious black gravy . The main attraction is the awesome Slice pork . It was sold out today , so only left steam Chicken on the menu .
KL Hop On Hop Off station number (23) KLCC , Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) is a multipurpose development area in Kuala Lumpur , the Petronas Twin Towers was the tallest building in the world from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2004. Currently, it still holds the record for the tallest twin buildings in the world .
The One day trip Ended here at KLCC and suppose the trip ending around 10PM but due to the weather that gonna rain soon , we decide to go back home before getting heavier . Kuala Lumpur one day trip Vol.2 will out soon . Keep updating ....
