Perlis State Park was the first state park established in Peninsular Malaysia in 1997 and gazetted on July 3, 2008. It is located in Mata Ayer and Wang Mu with a total area of ​​4,379.81 ha. Perlis State Park is located in the western part of the state of Perlis and is projected on the longest limestone range in Malaysia (38 km) known as the Nakawan Range.
The peculiarity of the Perlis State Park is not only in the endemic flora and fauna of the Bogak (Cycas clivicola), an ancient plant and Beruk kentoi (Macaca arctoides) which can still be found in the Perlis State Park area, but include the geological formation of the area itself. Most of the limestone hills found along the Nakawan Range are made up of the oldest Formation in Malaysia and estimated to be over 500 million years old.
 In addition there are also other places that are interesting and can be visited by visitors in Perlis State Park such as Wang Cave Burma, Wang Kelian Tourism Town, Bukit Pelarit, Bukit Rongkit, Heritage Trail, Prince of Denmark Trail, Lake Meranti, area of ​​view tower and Mount Perlis. In addition, there are two settlements close to Perlis State Park namely Kampung Wang Kelian and Pekan Kaki Bukit.

To ensure the comfort of visitors, the Perlis State Park provides facilities such as dormitories, seminar halls, chalets, surau, toilets, waqf, campsites, sightseeing tower, open hall and canteen. Perlis State Park offers a variety of activities, including exploring caves, bird watching, hiking trails, photography, interpreting trails, night trips, camping, nature education and mountain climbing. In addition, visitors can also enjoy the ambience and spectacular views of the river and the limestone caves found here.
The Perlis State Park operates at all times and is open to visitors daily from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Travelers who want to visit Perlis State Park can use their own vehicles or public transport such as buses and taxis.
