Enjoy local delicacies in  the middle of the paddy field and experience the new meaning open air restaurant, Dine in with the group of cultural performance. The restaurant also has an a la carte menu having an interesting choice of delectable dishes. Some of the dishes this restaurant is famous for are ikan bakar( grilled fish), spicy daging(beef), mixed vegetables, chicken curry, nasi(rice) and more.
We do enjoy our lunch and fruit juice at paddy field with very calm, relaxing and natural feelings. Staffs were polite. The food was authentic kampung style Malay dishes. It's a rare dining experience we can get in the city, You should come to experience it.

Laman Padi
Sprawling 14.28 acres in a natural ambiance, Laman Padi Langkawi serves to promote eco-tourism. Thus, a huge segment of 8.6 acres are being preserved as paddy field. Just a few steps from the entrance and the huge paddy field will lie in front of your eyes.
Apart from merely looking at the green paddy, visitors will also get to learn more about their specific species as those paddies are being named accordingly. Besides, scarecrows are also being placed in the middle of the field in order to make the scenery looks more like the actual one.
During certain time slots, there will be a specialized tour guide that brings you around the farm. The most exciting part is where the guide will bring you down to the paddy field (or known as Garden of Variety) to experience the actual way of planting paddy.
Visitors will be given some paddies and the guide will teach them the appropriate ways of planting paddies in the mud. Though the field is wet and muddy, it is indeed a hands-on and fun experience not to be missed!

Walking further, you will see the well-furbished Museum Laman Padi - the Heritage Gallery. In a dim and air-conditioned setting, illustrations and valuable artifacts such as tools in planting and harvesting paddy are being showcased.

The Gemalai Village
A scenic hideway where one can get in-touch with nature and the essence of the Malay culture, Located right at the entrance of Cenang Beach, this unique accommodation maintains the Malay Kampung (Village) experience within a Sawah Padi (Rice Field) ambiance. There are 6 chalet units available for guests, all of which incorporates the traditional Malay house concept.
It provides 3-star accommodation with air-conditioned rooms. Those staying at the hotel can enjoy the property's gardens. The in-house spa offers a chance to get pampered and relax. They all offer bottled water, wireless internet access and a ceiling fan.
Those staying at The Gemalai Village can sit down to a unique dining experience at the on-site restaurant, ideally based for those who want to stay nearby for a meal.
Once you reach the cluster of cottages, there are wooden boardwalks that lead to the individual cottages. The setting around is wonderful. You can also see buffaloes and cows grazing on the field. The serene greenery, crowing of roosters early in the mornings and quiet time amongst nature are the main attractions of Gemalai Village.
10 minute walk from Gemalai Village to the famous Pantai Cenang beach, There are two types of cottages and all are close to each other connected by boardwalks. The cottages are all built on stilts because due to rains the grounds of the cottages often get full of water. The superior-cottages have two decks. The lower deck is an open dining cum living area, while the room is built on the upper deck along with a bathroom. The standard cottages do not have any separate lower deck. There is a stairway in each cottage to climb up to the room.
Free bicycles are provided so that you can roam around in Laman Padi complex and visit the different areas here including the rice museum or get to an area to watch paddy cultivation on the fields. Breakfast is included and served in the room (at the lower deck for the superior cottages). It usually comprises of toast, omelet served with vegetables or slices of sausages, fruit juice, tea etc.
All rooms are wood finished and partially (including the bathroom walls) are bamboo finished. Overall decor looks quite rustic yet modern.
